Intel a facut-o din nou! in 2004 compania gigant a lansat modulatorul de 1 Gbps fabricat din silicon si care inregistreaza date pe o particula de lumina cu viteza de 1Gbps. Intr-un blog recent au anuntat ce viteza doresc sa stabileasca precum si intregul concept al produsului. Noua tehnologie este gata sa stabileasca o viteza de 40 Gbps. Circuitul fotonic ar putea reprezenta o solutie pentru comunicatiile optice precum si pentru interconexiunile computerului. Siliconul atrage investitorii datorita costului redus cat si abilitatii de a fi produsa in cantitatii mari. Blogul contine procesul modulatorului in sine care se bazeaza pe 25 de lasere de silicon hibrid pe un chip care deschide usa catre o viteza mai mare decat s-ar fi asteptat cineva.De asemenea foloseste fibre optice pentru a avea o mai mare arie de acoperire precum si pentru a transporta date pe distante mai mari decat permite cuprul, astfel reducand energia folosita. In ianuarie anul curent, au lansat un modulator optic din silicon la o viteza de 10 Gbps si au spus ca vor sa ajunga la 40 in viitorul apropiat. Stiri bune intradevar. Este mai rapid, mai ieftin, mai bun. Suna ca o reclama, dar adevarul e ca Intel face treaba buna si de aceea merita sa fie considerat numarul unu si privit ca descoperitor pe piata calculatoarelor. Aceasta e parerea mea. Imi place marca si vad un viitor promitator. Oricum daca e mai rapid contati pe mine..pentru ca viteza imi face inima sa bata mai tare.
